Beware of products that have an immediate "knock down" effect on termites. The aim is to kill the whole colony/nest not just the few you can see. While such products may seem like a quick fix and very fast treatment may be desirable… these products are toxic to termites and very few of the termites in a colony, (there may be up to million termites in a colony), will be killed before being repelled by such a product. As a result the vast majority of the termites in a colony will remain alive and actively seek another place to gain access to the building and cause more damage to your home.

The best option for treating termites in your home can only be determined by a skilled professional. Termites may be eliminated from your home via the application of termiticides delivered as a bait , dust or foam treatment.

When termites are baited or dusted they will pass the treatment material to other members of the termite colony and far greater numbers of termites in the colony will be eliminated.

Elimination of one termite colony from your home does not guarantee protection from a future attack by other colonies in the area. Termite elimination should not be used as a stand alone treatment. Once termites have been eliminated from your home it is imperative that long term termite management is implemented to ensure ongoing protection of your investment.
